![]() There was a guy in Hot rod a while ago that was using 2.3 turbo's and putting them in a Pinto and running 9's and the best part was since the turbo blocks were cast in Brazil, it qualified for the Import drags
![]() Yup the 2.3 turbo has a totally different and quite beefy short block assy. If you got a cheap turbo setup from a similar year mustang (150 hp??) it may last for a little while. A much more sensibile approach is to get a T-bird turbo coupe, Merkur or SVO turbo motor and swap the whole thing into your stang. The higher output (205 hp??) would be more desirable over the 150 hp version
