The 2 rifles that jump to mind right away that are common and use .223 rounds are the AR-15 and the Ruger Mini-14. I've used both and they are both damn fine rifles and capable of being very accurate especially with a scope. If this guy is getting shots like he is he is a very poor marksman. The fact that he hasn'tbeen caught yet though makes him a smart criminal and that in turn makes him an extremly dangerous criminal.
I hope they get this prick and nail him to the courthouse wall so the public can take pot shots at him.
