While driving try putting light pressure on the shifter in various directions and see if you still feel a vibration. Also check for extra play. If the vibration stops or there is extra play in certain directions check the following:

Remove the shifter (checking bolt tightness in the process) from the transmission and inspect the plastic damper sleeve. It may be cracked or broken allowing too much play between the shifter ball and the offset lever.
