![]() I don't think it is necessary
I've had my tranny out a few times and changed the oil every time and have never used a sealant on the threads and they never leaked. they are a pipe thread so they seal well. I suppose you could use a sealant anyways if it makes you feel better. I have no idea what they do from the factory
