Hey,
I got a 95GT with the Mach 460 system with cd and it sounds great but the cd player sucks. It keeps making a noise like it is eating the cds. The only thing I can tell you is to do what I'm gonna do on saturday. Yank that sucker out of there. I know that Circuit City sells an adapter for like $20 to make it easy.
