Get some 3.73 gears
If you look at my car's specs, I am almost at the same point as you as far as mods, except that I have 3.73 gears. IMO gears are one of the best mods out there. I'm not sure if you could buy them and have them installed for under $300 but maybe if you do some research, you could find them for that price installed. Let us know what you deceide.
