I've had this Dell for two years almost and have had no problems whatsoever. I do a lot of graphics intensive powerpoint presentations for schools I teach and it rips them out without a hitch. The manual I just finished is 378 pages of text and jpeg files and the IBM I have at work would lock up after about 15 minutes of working on it. The Dell has never even hiccupped.
I did have a small problem with Photoshop when I first got it. It locked down for about 30 minutes when I tried to save a tiff file but I discovered I had saved it as a 700+ meg tiff file and it had a tough time converting it. I have since learned I have no need for 700 meg picture files.
