I had to replace my pump just a few weeks ago, simple process. In the meantime, for ease of raising and lowering the top manually, remove the hydraulic lines connected to the pump. I was able to lower and raise the top all by myself once I removed the lines... By the way, I've seen several of them on ebay really cheap as compared to what a rebuilt on will cost you. Hope this helps
