hmmm... since I'm looking for a forged crank, I guess the only earlier style 3inch stroke crank is a boss crank right that works on 28 balance?? I'll have to go searching the web for 28 ounce cranks..

And, I'm not necessarily sold on 28 ounce.. If I can get it balanced and blueprinted for 50 ounce flywheel/damper, then I'll do that, I was just more concerned about longevity at 6500 - 7000 rpm with 50 ounces x 2 spinning around... cause I can get a forged crank for 50 ounce pretty cheap too..
(lots of issues to deal with eh?)

since I want to do this right the first time, I'm willing to spend a bit extra $$, but really if its only worth it...
