I think I have a more ugent problem for you......I doubt you stock head unit has a remote wire.

You could make one....run a FUSED lenght of wire(16gauge) from a key-only power source in the fuse box back to the amp. Install a toggle switch so you can turn the amp on and off.

Your gonna need a set of "keys" to take your HU out.
