![]() GP001,
So what if you decide you want to run some crazy gears like 4.56 or 4.33s??? I've discussed the benefits of the Richmond ROD w/ you before, and trust me you sold me on it. But I've been wondering about the overdrive ratio and gears. Basically I want the gears and tranny that will help me out most with the track and strip, but then when I hit the highway (I live in LA), I want to save rpms and...ahem...as little gas as you can save with a stroker 289. So I'm not sure what combo Ill get yet, but i'll go radical with the gears if it'll hep me accelerate, as long as the tranny will offset the lost streetability/cruisability. What is the lowest rpm a car cruising from 65-80 (mostly 80 in LA in non-rush-hour) in sixth should live at? What is the lowest ratio offered for the Richmond? What rpm with the 4.33 and 4.56 gears would the engine see on the highway?? Thanks DJ |
