I have used Performance Friction Z pads on my 94 Cobra for years. I have been to quite a few track sessions at Sebring and Moroso in Florida and the brakes worked great. Recently I tried stock Ford pads to save same money and because I wasn't planning any track events. There was a big difference. The stock brakes require twice the effort to stop.

I have now found the Z pads from Autozone for about $60 for fronts.
