Sorry I did not read your whole post, cause my head started hurting. Geez dude, good grammer never killed anyone.

But,,

Turn on your key and give the electrical device that connects the fuel tank to the fuel cable a good smack. Usually you'll here the thing start pumping.

You can remove it and just run a mechanical pump. But, get a book on how to install a mechanical pump. There is a lobe that is bolted to the camshaft that drives the pump. If that is not there, or damaged, it will not pump fuel, that may be why the electrical pump was installed.
