![]() what do you want your tires to do, because $100 bucks says you'll get a million posts advising you to buy slicks!
It seems you're interested in wet traction. I use Toyo Proxes T1-S tires. They are the absolute ultimate wet tire, period. They did however, cost me $825. That includes 4 wheel alignment, mounting and lifetime balance. And a normal tire has a tread wear of 400-700 these are rated 280! So far I've had them exactly one year and 18,000 miles and they're still in good condition with alot of tread. I have lit them up more than a few times and have driven through daily construction areas. I had Nitto 550's(225/50r16) on the car before and these Toyo's have a faster turn-in. Nice and clean. I do however run 225/50ZR16 instead of the 55's the car calls for, just to get a little lower profile for handling and sidewall stiffness (these tires have sidewall implants for stability). They also have torsional strength in the center to promote straight tracking. Let me tell you at 125+MPH this baby feels like it's on a rail it tracks so straight! I don't remember how good the car went staright before the Toyo's. I'm gonna stop talking about my tires now ![]() oh yeah, and they have rim protecting edge so you can take the Granny curb feelers off the Mustang and put them back on the Towncar!
