I think stock numbers for any of the 87-93 5.0 liters is something like 225 horse and a hair less torque... like 200 or something.. I'm just guessing... but I think the real draw to these cars is the limitless customability (is that even a word?). You can get anything youy could imagine for this car... form turbos to superchargers. you can get stroker kits and nitrous kits and they are all reasonably cheap for the most part... and you can find parts anywhere... and that makes our life easy... sure you can do the same to the camaro and firebirds... but in general the mustang is small and light... so with some mods you can get a prety good horsepower to weight ratio going... though they arent much fun in teh snow..
