![]() I had an 83 GLX. It was the first year they brought back the convertable. They were even sent off from the production factory and made into convertables. Also the first year for the T5, mine had one it had a 2.95 first gear. They had 175 base horsepower, 10" clutch, manifolds instead of headers, non-roller motor, single exhaust and slapper bars instead of quad shocks. Another interesting fact was that they T5 cars came with 3.27 gears in the 7.5" housing. I don't think the production numbers were quite that low but if they were I wish I had mine back. I traded it in 95 for $2500. It sorta made me sick because I had invested close to $9000 in the car from 1991 to 1995 that includes the cost of the car.
