![]() The best Oil Pressure level is better found with a mechanical guage. I highly recommend you get one. I love mine. I also prefer Autometer. Ford Motor Comp. recommends 15 pounds at an idle (warm) and 45 pounds at operating temperature while driving under usual circumstances. My 4banger idles with 35 to 40 pounds, and goes done the road with about 65 pounds. When you kick it down of course nothin happens (remember it's a 4banger) but the pressure guage immeaditally jumps to 85 pounds. The first time I did that I was like "Damn the oil pressure". I thought I some how hooked it up wrong and remembered there isnt a wrong way to do it. I called ford and told them they said that was great and I didn't have to worry about haveing a ring down any time soon. Cool huh.
