Aod help

Second gear is gone. What are my options? I've been quoted $850 for rebuilt aod and stall. Any other cheap options! Thanks for the help.

Cheap option. Do a conversion over to a manual box. Then you can have more fun with the car, while affording the ability to blast through transmissions. I hear a number of people that tear through 2nd gears and figure this box will see some severe duty. What are the mods to this car? A cheap solution for AOD will only afford you another AOD purchase down the road. Specially if you have been hard enough on the car to tear out the second. Manual conversion. Used T-5 with a replacement stronger gearset should set you back around the same amount. You gain= fun factor, power due to less drive train loss, rubust tranny that can hold up to your style of driving, easy swaps in the future, and more.
