![]() Your build sounds pretty similar to mine. I've got the crane H-288-2 cam (226/230* at 0.050") with like .526" lift. Don't have the car done yet, but with a 3000Rpm converter and 4.30 gears, I don't think I'll have a "soggy bottom end." People always seem to think that a 4V C is worthless on the street, but they forget they came from the factory in cars heavier than a Fox.
I cost me almost $400 just for the port and polish job on my heads. The guy did a good job but he charged by the hour ![]() Oh well, he was the only Ford racer in town(circle track) and his shop cam highly recommended. Counting the RR's and all the other head related parts and machine work I have $1500 into them. That counts the cost of buying the heads too. I can't wait to test this thing out in the spring! It'll be fun picking on all the chevelles and camaros in town ![]()
