Didn't polish to a mirror finish on any of it but got it fairly smooth. Not sure of the grit, but started with a carbide bit, and moved to a cartridge roll to smooth it out.
It was actually 302man that did the porting, so shoot him a PM if you have any specific questions. He did an awesome job for me.

I couldn't even begin to give a guess on a hp gain, because I moved from ported E7's and a mild cleanup on the intake, to ported GT40P's and a heavier ported intake.

I wouldn't try to find an intake gasket bigger than the 1250, you won't need one any bigger.
