Kevin, that sounds like a very good answer. i'll try that tomorrow. I think i can just cross the two hot wires rather than getting a relay. I don't think i'd find much in the yards under the 2ft of snow we have.
My only question concerning the relay is that when i put starting fluid in, it will fire for 2-3 seconds. How can that be explained in relation to the fuel pump relay.
