Whats wrong with the P heads?
I keep seeing on this board that alot of people are against the P head. Why? i know you have to buy special headers, but other than that, i dont see why. The flow pretty darn good for a stock replacement head. I just bought a set and planning on doing some work to them. Anyone here run them?
James

it's not as bad as you think...it's just that they're Iron and if you are going to tear apart the top end and BUY heads to open it up, why not reduce the weight while you're there with a set of aluminum ones?! That's all, really. There is nothing negative about P heads, they work just fine. If they're free and you have nothing better to do, sure throw 'em on! But personally, I wouldn't waste my money on them. But I'm an all or nothing type of dude.....maybe that's not a good thing

I think it is all in your prefference of ride.... you could spend the casilion dollars is cost to pick up as set of aluminum heads, or you could get a used set at reasonable price, rebuld them and have something that is going to work very well with a closely stock motor. If on the other hand you are pulling the whole engine out, rebuilding, camming, nos... ect go for the gold.
I too decided to go with GT40 heads on my stang, not installed yet.. good luck with the gt40p's
