![]() Typically when they say it is ground 4° advanced that is so that with a stock timing chain set it would be where they would call straight up because stock chainset are made with 4° of retard in them, If you bought a good aftermarket roller chain set with multi keyways or index bushings then to get the valve timing at what they consider straight up you would need to set the chain set to 4° retarded just like the factory set. Now after all that said really the best way to do it is spend the 25 to 30 bucks on a degree wheel and measure it for youself so you know where is it is. Not based on well if it is 4° advbanced minust this 4° retard then it is straight up.
