![]() Checking your motor mounts is simple.
Pop the hood, start her up, put it in 1st and give it a little gas, and let off, a couple of times. (foot on the brake of course) watching the motor to see how much it leans and listen for the thud or bang. It should lean a bit of course but you should have to make it work a little and there should be no bang in the movement. Try the same in reverse. Easy and excessive movement, say more than 2+ inches ( or banging/thud noises) mean new mounts. Get a friend at the pedal so you can watch the motor and mounts up close.
