![]() You basically want them set up to NOT lock up before the fronts do.
This procedure may be a bit unorthodox, but has been what I did... You go out on a rainy (wet) road, and ajdust until the rears just lock up about the same time as the fronts. Then adjust till they dont lock up before the fronts. You are trying to get a feel for how much adjustment equals what in effect. This is easier than testing on dry pavement (saves on flatspotted tires), and you dont need as much speed to produce the lockup... It also assumes that when the road is dry, you get more weight transfer to the front tires (more grip), and less grip in the rear. Thus, you need to adjust LESS rear bias in the rain. Then, go out with this ballpark, and try several tests with dry tires. Its a trial and error test...
