Default cam & lifter question

Is it ok to mix and match cam & lifter brands?
For example, I saw a hydraulic cam I want to use but the matching lifters are a little expensive. Can I buy a Crower cam and use something like Crane lifters as long as they are also hydraulic?

Yes, as long as you use the right type. Hydraulic with hydraulic and solid with solid.

I've got a Tric Flow hydraulic roller cam with Ford Racing hydraulic roller lifters.

Of course you can. Most people that only do cam swaps still use the stock lifters.
