![]() jimberg is right, you must get an advance style timing light. then set your base timing for what you want. then rev it to the point that you want your total advance at (ie 3500 rpm) then rotate the dial til you see zero. this will tell you where you are at. if its not where you want, you may need to modify the weights inside the distributor for more advance, the slot in the weights will determine the amount of advance degrees you will get from the base setting to total advance.
