Yea CAI are just for looks it flows the same (proven) as a K&N in the stock box, stock size TB is 65mm and adding a 70 or 75mm TB to a stock engine will do nothing or maybe even hurt horsepower is what I've been told on here cause its over kill. The late 80's early 90's 50. stangs upgrade to a 65mm for aftermarket so yea your fine I also have a 96gt
