![]() By the time you buy the gears, install kit (you should get a new pinion bearing when you swap gears or you're asking for trouble), speedo compensation, fluids, pay shipping on everything, and labor, you are looking at more like $450-$750 depending on how much the install costs. Install may be cheaper where you live, but where I live it is $275-$575 depending on where you go.
Gears are definitely the best seat of the pants mod you can do for the money. I'd go 3.73 for yours based on the powerband unless you have done the PI headswap, in which case I'd go 4.10s (assuming a 5-speed).
