Default h-pipe install

I installed an off road pipe on my 97 gt a month ago and the engine light finally came on, i know to install sensors but the car also seems to run a little warmer, is this normal? any explanations for this?

You say it seems to run warmer. Have you checked it with a good gauge, or just the factory one? Do you have the O2 sensors installed and hooked up? If not, that is probably why it is running warmer, the computer doesn't know if the car is running lean or rich, so it is probably using the built in tables in the computer to keep it running.
Also, post this in the windsor forum, you will get way more responses.
