That 400 bellhousing pattern is the same as
the 429/460's. So any manual trans that
fits those should work, incl Richmond 5 & 6 speeds, etc.

The 400 can make some awesome torque and 400+ hp pretty easy, but real hi-po parts don't really exist, and there's more parts for the 351W if you're looking for 450 or more. Also, the 400 is hard to fit into many chassis, and would require custom headers.
