![]() The Tri-Ax shifter is awesome. I could not believe the difference that it made. It may help with your problem by making the shifting more precise especially if the stops have gotten worn on the old shifter.
One thing to note, though, the after market shifters are noisier since they do not have any rubber bushings. You tend to hear a little more noise with the Tri-Ax. It is much more solid, precise, and the gears snap into place. It is a much more rigid setup so vibrations are more easily transfered. Sounds like you found a real gem of a car. Wow! '97 Cobra with 33k! That is great. Good Luck. Try a good synthetic trans fluid. I used to have a '92 Eclipse Turbo (before I became saved and bought American) and it did the same thing after about 35K. Better tranny fluid fixed it.
