I personally like the 331. The rod to stroke ratio is pretty well laid out in this combo. The 331 will give more power on the higher revs and the 347 would give more in the low area. However that really doesn't come into play...that's what they make gears for.
I never ran into anyone running a 342...I believe this was the fix for the wrist pin protruding into the oil ring in the 347's. I believe many company's fixed this? Were you looking for a short block or a stroker kit? If your going with the kit be sure to see if it comes balanced...usually not. |
