Now that I have blasted my hometown for the crappy winters, I must say that we have the greatest summers. Our hotest month is July and the average high is only 80 degrees. At night it is usually in the high 50's or 60's all summer long. Humidity is very low too. In 50 years it has never been over 96. We get one or two days a year in the 90's.
We have no central air in my house! Most of my neighbors don't either. The few that do are older, retired folks. We just open the windows at night. I live on a lake and the breeze off the water is heaven all summer. I HATE the winter...I love the summer.
