Just sand the contacts down with a very fine grit sandpaper. The silver color should come off and you'll see copper underneath. Then clean it with electrical cleaner or alcohol. But honestly, on a manual equiped car, and with an off-the-self big company chip like the Jet chip, you won't "feel" a difference.
