Your 1.7 was before Porting???

Porting cylinder heads is alot more involving than people think. And more bad can be done than good.

Just getting in there and grinding metal out can affect alot of aspects of the flow rate. Even to stock Ford heads (Which are kinda weak on the exhaust especially), you can still hurt the flow by just hogging them out.

Bigger doesnt always mean better.

Not trying to be a jerk, just letting one know.

There are several good books you can find at Barnes and Noble, and Books A Million about head porting. They go into the science of it. And its that, a science.

As for the formula you asked about, I have no clue.
