Default Using spares as "skinnies" at track

Do any of you guys do this?
Is it worth it, seems cheap enough to Ski, kinda redneck I guess but there's a ton of that around here
BTW my car's not that fast, if that matters & I run on a 1/8 Mi. strip.

Not a good choice in my opinion. Those tires are usually only rated for speeds of around 50MPH.

So I would highly suggest against it, go out and get a good set of M/T skinnies and do it right. No sense risking wreckin your car or yourself due to being cheap with tires and savin all of 50 bucks.

Don't forget about the guy in the lane next to you. If you won't do it for yourself, do it for him.

Good point.
I guess at my power level real skinnies are not nesessary so I could pick up 2 more 10 hole stock 15" rims and wear the skinniest tire that'll fit.
I just heard of it before but didn't consider the danger, especialy to the other guy!!

Wouldnt another option be finding a set of nice spare tires (aluminum centerline looking ones) and then get a set of actual front runners on them?
