I have 90GT 5spd. I can drive the car maybe 30 mins. and it starts running hot. If turn my car off it will not start again until it is cooled down, acts like the battery is dead. Could anyone help me out here. If you need more info let me know.

Change your thermostat and replace your starter. Report back when work is completed.

What changes did you make last before it started?

Since you change the stat, maybe coolant mixture too rich? How about air pocket. Sometimes it a PITA to get all of the air out. I like to drill two small holes in the stat before I put it in. Stat pointing right direction? Fan in good shape? No oil in water, or oil in antifreeze? Losing water? Bad cap. Add water wetter.

			 Does it overheat:

			1) Only in stop-n-go or when just stopped? * fan clutch 2) Only on the highway? * radiator, air deflector below front air dam 3) All the time? radiator, thermostat, radiator cap?

Sounds like an air locked coolant system. Try putting the front of the car up on ramps or jackstands so thet the rad cap is higher than the engine. Remove the rad cap and run the engine until its at operating temp, this should release the air pocket.

I have been running the stock temp gauge. Today I installed a mech gauge. I but I have not gotten the car to start.

I replaced the starter and the solenoid just clicked, so I went and bought a solenoid and still nothing. I put a volt meter to the battery and it reads .03 volts so I got my friend to jump it off and it melted his jumper cables. I went and bought a new battery and put it the new battery in and it still won't start. Someone help me please. This is my only car. |

			 How are those battery cables?

They do corrode on the inside sometimes and that really impedes any current from flowing to or from the battery.

Ok I changed the ignition switch and now the car starts and runs fine. The mech. temp gauge reads avg. 220 to 230. Isn't that to hot. Should I try and flush the radiator myself or should I pull it out and take it some where and have it done? or should I try an aftermarket fan like an electric fan?

	Thanks |

Have you tried to get more air out, or check your coolant mixture?

Check the simple things first. If not, just go ahead and replace the motor, im sure it will fix it.

Ok say if the radiator is bad and I need to replace it. Where should I get one? I like to keep both of my arms and legs.

Autozone has a 3 row for $160 would that be any good? |

If you decide to replace the radiator, a 3 core is probably overkill, but it would work. If you are on a budget, just pick up a stock 2 row replacement.

			Good luck,
