![]() Doubt it. How big is your alt.? Even if it's just a stocker, they're rated at 64 amps, and usually put out more than that. You'd need at least a 100 amp fuse. That's just scary. Fusible links aren't that bad to change, cut out the blown one, install the new one in place of it. I always solder and heat shrink my connections, but I've seen yellow crimp connectors on a few that worked just fine. Also take your alt. and regulator and get them checked. If this is the second time you blew a fuseable link, there's something not right in the wood pile. Either the alt is spiking voltage/amps or the regulator is having a brain fart.
