The Cobra's used a different camshaft than the GT's. The Cobra camshaft had more LSA, and ran better at lower rpms, despite having a little more duration and a little more lift with the 1.7s.

It's was a junkstick, especially considering the intake and heads flow better on the Cobra than the GT.

The unofficial numbers I have are as follows:
