Change the gasket, it's gonna break when you pop the cover loose. AZ/Advance/NAPA has them on the cheap. Just need a diff cover gasket for an 8.8 is all. Yep, fill her up till she can't take no more. Just the way we like it. Usually just over 2 quarts. Think synthetic!
