IMO 01-02 were the best years. The best wheels, got the 01 and up clear tails, aluminum driveshaft, among other things.

Some owners of 01-02's have had a problem with blowing spark plugs out. Ford didn't put enough threads in the head ( I think there are 3 or 4 in there)...in 03 they started putting 6 threads in the head so they don't have the same problem. If you have a warranty, it shouldn't be a problem. If you don't have a warranty, it would cost a pretty penny to replace a cyl. head if a spark plug blew out. But I don't want to scare you....this isn't a major issue. Just check that the plugs are snug every now and then (like at every oil change) and you shouldn't have any problems at all.
