sounds like you may have a faulty low pressure switch, this is a safety to prevent unit from running when low on gas. I say faulty assuming you do have the unit charged properly. Try jumping lps out, if it runs and you have good pressures, replace it. Not sure, it should also have a high pressure switch, same trouble shooting.
