I've had that happen on my old '86... It was the ignition module in that case. I put 100k on that car and had to put 3 of those puppies in! Autozone can check your Control module, and also keep in mind the pick up coil which is inside the distributor. I just went and bought a new distributor and control module myself... about $100

It sorta ran off the ether, It was knocking bad I was able to rev it for a few or as long as my freind was spraying it in the TB, if it is something electrical what can I check for,I know how to check for spark but then what next???????
