I agree with Jester. Do it once and do it right. He also told me once, as I was thinking of buying cheap Chinese cylinder heads, "Speed costs money, how fast do you want to go?"

Go with the stud mount rockers. Some nice extruded or billet aluminum. I have the Ford motorsport rockers. They rock!! Get it? Seriously, the engine spins to 6500 rpm with a 560 lift solid lifter cam and I've had no problems.

Well, now I think I'm gonna just go with Edelbrock Performer and forget about "valve float".
I sure can't stretch budget to make the Trick Flow CNC'd heads a realality, what are they like $2000.

I'm running Trick Flow 1.7 rockers with ALOT more lift than that. Shifting at 7,500 RPM.

7,500 rpm and more lift than me? I wish I had your car!! I'd be happy with an 11.99!! And my car's a trailer queen.

Well, after a lot of phone calls and lost sleep, I bought AFR 165's stud mount & 1.6 RR's. Now I gotta decide on the Trick Flow #1 cam or a custom grind? Any suggestions?
Why do comp cams cost so much?
Like $370??

I vote custom grind. Cam Motion "dahn nare" in Lousianna (www.cammotion.com) will fix you right up. Be prepared though, they'll want to know EVERYTHING about the car. Cubes, intake, heads, headers, trans, gear ratios, tire size, etc etc.

Glad to see you went with a good set of heads. You WON'T be sorry about that decision!!!

You mean the Falcon? I love that old school shyt. I'd trade my Stang for a Fairlane/Galaxie TODAY! It'd have to be the RIGHT Fairlane, but there's not a doubt in my mind.

I leave the line at 6000, shift at 7500, and she's still pulling hard. John (owner of Canfield heads) said to shift at 7700 and see what happens, but I'm a bit chicken to wind her up that hard.
