Depends on the rest of your setup and what you want to get out of the car. I'm not a fan of the catalog cams. I prefer a good custom grind.

That might have been good advise about 15-20 years ago but with all the different cam companys out there today, and all the variety of grinds, there HAS to be a particuliar cam that will fit just about any engine combo out there.
Give me any custom grind cam and I should be able to find an aftermarket cam with the same or VERY VERY similiar specs.
IMHO, custom cams are for people too lazy to search all the different cam companys for specs to fit their combo.
If you have unlimited funds and not much time to look for a cam then a custom cam is for you.
