Gt-40 intake

the cobra and explorer are all gt-40 style intakes, except the non tubular(cobra and explorer) uppers can be ported, i think the wall thickness of the actual gt-40 upper is too thin to port

so the non tubular ones are the better ones or no? is the gt-40 intake a substantial upgrade from stock? and what size throttle body works well ? i am thinking about 65-70mm.
also, can i use the gt-40 with speed density? will i need to use larger injectors?
