tremec swap

i have a stock 89 gt that needs a trans. ive been lookin at the tko500 tremec. ive heard ill need a different bellhousing. is that true? also, id like to put a hurst shifter on it, will a hurst t-5 shifter work or will i need a different shifter too? what about my trans crossmember? whats up with it? thanks

you'll need a diff bellhousin, diff shifter, front driveshaft yoke and you can grind the welds off your crossmember and reuse it.

will a frpp aluminum driveshaft work?

FRPP driveshaft will work, but you still have to change the front yolk. Output shaft splines on the TKO are different. D&D in Michigan sells the yolk for like $75 last time I checked.

Also going to need a different CLUTCH as the input splines are different as well.
