As the owner of a 90 LX 5.0 and a 88 LX 2.3 both with T-5's I can pipe in
Yes the 2.3 has a Borg Warner T-5 rated at 240 ft lbs similar to the older non WC T-5's The input shaft has the same splines but the pilot bearing shaft is longer and diff diameter. I have a printout for T-5 specs can't remember where on the web I found it. Some of the ratios are diff and it the shift throws are shorter. The input shafts could be swapped out, but don't expect it to last long behind a healthy 302, but should be a good swap for a stock 82-84 model. Actually for a car that looks almost the same as the 90 very few parts interchange, hence it's for sale now instead of my original plan to canabalize for parts. ------------------ Frank W 90 5.0 LX coupe Daily driver.
