![]() removing the timing cover is pretty easy, the hardest part is getting off the harmonic balancer bolt which is usually on there pretty tight.
if i remember correctly, you could take off the front cover and EASILY remove the front crank seal. it would also be a good time to replace any other seal/gasket in the area, as well as replace the timing chain. good luck, it's not that bad of a job. you can even leave the water pump attached to the front cover.
